Tommy Emmanuel is an Australian guitarist, who has achieved international success. He has won six ARIA Awards, and is known for his fingerstyle guitar playing. Emmanuel has released over thirty albums, and has toured extensively throughout the world.

Tommy Emmanuel was born on November 25, 1955, in Muswellbrook, New South Wales, Australia. He began playing guitar at the age of six, and was soon performing on local radio and television. In the early 1970s, Emmanuel relocated to Sydney, and began performing with the Reg Lindsay Band. In 1975, he released his debut album, Emmanuel.

In the early 1980s, Emmanuel relocated to the United States, and began performing with the country rock band, The Little River Band. He later toured with Chet Atkins, and performed at the White House. In 1990, Emmanuel released his breakthrough album, CGP. The album featured his signature fingerstyle guitar playing, and earned Emmanuel a Grammy Award nomination.

Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, Emmanuel continued to release critically acclaimed albums, and toured extensively throughout the world. He has won six ARIA Awards, and is a three-time winner of the Instrumental of the Year award at the Country Music Awards of Australia.

Tommy Emmanuel is a highly accomplished guitarist, and is known for his virtuosic fingerstyle guitar playing. His albums are consistently well-reviewed, and he is a popular performer worldwide.
